After studying Industrial Design at the Academy of Arts in Ukraine, Taras traveled to New York where his ultra-contemporary artwork was born and began to flourish.
Taras’s main body of work incorporates a mix of charcoal and watercolour, often creating a calm but impactful atmosphere with his fine and thick line drawing in a limited colour palette. In contrast, his less-preferred use of oil paint churns out bolder, more vivd abstract pieces, using bright jarring colours and thicker, deliberate brush strokes.
Taking his vast range of subjects directly from life (platonic and romantic relationships, self portraits and still lifes), Taras is able to experiment visually, enabling his work to progress from classical objectivism to more abstract styles which adorn his current paintings.
