Notuko began her career not long ago, in 2016, since she has developed a strong sense of self, style and vision of beauty, through her career and has taken part in many exhibitions around the world. One of the central themes in Nataliia’s paintings is the internal energy of an individual, self-identity, strength, and desire for independence. There are consistent themes of lightness, suddenness and audaciousness that prevail throughout her paintings and drawings.
Her lines and brush marks convey emotionality and the unprotected, shaky state more deeply. The artist often seeks inspiration in Ukrainian traditions and folk, often presenting them in an abstract form, whilst also capturing the delicate essence of a world marked by the realities of war.
The figures and narratives in her art are not mere creations of fantasy; they are recurring symbols and experiences in her daily life, representing a sense of continuity amidst disorder, whilst her eclectic, yet complimentary, colour palette vividly portrays the fortified spirit of her homeland.
